Elena (Lena) Voita is a Ph.D. student at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Amsterdam, and a Facebook PhD Fellow in Natural Language Processing. Lena’s research focuses on neural machine translation, as well as analysis and interpretability of deep NLP models. Her works were published at top-tier NLP conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS. She is also a program committee member of the most renowned conferences in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (ACL, EMNLP, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR) and an outstanding reviewer at EMNLP 2019. Previously, Lena worked at Yandex for 4 years: first at the core of Yandex Search, then as a research scientist at Yandex Research side by side with the Yandex Translate team. In addition to her own research, she also supervised Bachelor and Master students (Yandex interns and students in the scope of Yandex Academic Supervision Program), which resulted in publications at ACL and NeurIPS.
