The School of Data Analysis is an intensive free Master’s-level program in Computer Science and Data Analysis, which has been expanding career opportunities for graduates in engineering, mathematics, computer science or related fields since 2007. Designed and run by Yandex, a search pioneer, which evolved into a company that builds intelligent products and services powered by cutting-edge technologies, the School aims to train specialists in data analysis and information retrieval for further employment at any IT company, including Yandex, anywhere in the world.
One of the school’s key advantages is the opportunity to learn first-hand from practicing data analysis professionals who know their job inside out. The courses are given by Russian and international experts working at from leading companies and universities.
The School has branches in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Minsk and Tel Aviv. In addition to partnering with the Computer Science Center in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk, the School co-organizes joint academic programs with some of Russia’s leading research institutions.
The School’s courses are taught in the evenings, several times a week. The average study load is 15-20 hours per week, including 9-12 hours of lectures and seminars. The School also runs distance-learning courses and provides lectures over the internet. Most courses in Russia and Belarus are taught in Russian, with some guest lectures or seminars offered in English. Сourses in Tel Aviv are available in English.
